artist
What is the main difference in a £20 mouse and one double the price? I've put in an order for a new one for my birthday.I don't really need too many 'bells and whistles' but I may as well have a decent one.I fancy a cord-less one. Any recommendations? -pops-
I always use an MS Intellimouse Explorer. It's a wired multiple button optical mouse that fits really well in the hand and is very comfortable to use (you don't get so much cramp and fatigue with it). They're robust as well - the grandkids haven't managed to break one yet.Cost about £30. dabs have them in all sorts of fancy clours and finishes. artist
Just looked at the Kelkoo site for comparisons - as you say, pop, about £30. I looked in PC World this morning to have a feel of some - it's important to feel right as I have some arthritis in my hand.( I knew some smartie would say £20!!! :D )
-pops-
Artist, I am arthritic - that's why I thought that the Explorer would be good for you. The size and shape are such that my hand rests nicely on the mouse and it can be operated with a minimum of flexing of the fingers.

djohn
A4Tech Cordless Mouse. Nice shape and fits my hand same as -pops- says. I've had the mouse for two years now with the same rechargeable batteries. I use the mouse quite a lot but still get about a week from one charge then plug the USB cord into it's nose, carry on using it as a corded mouse while it recharges over a period of two hours. The freedom and lack of drag from a cordless mouse make them worth three times as much as a corded one but in saying that mine cost only £15 from Dabs. :)Look for one that not only fits your hand with comfort but has a high scanning rate for accuracy. I can place the I beam in text as small as 6 point first time every time.
Sparks
I have a Trust cordless mouse and keyboard which I find very suitable apart from one small drawback, I have to recharge the mouse batteries about every four days. The keyboard batteries last about six months though.

Boris
I use a 6 year old Microsoft serial mouse which they threw away at work 5 years ago as "uneconomic to repair".De-fluffing it worked wonders !
