In a vain attempt to get your thread back to the subject, my wife and daughter have a nice christmas tradition. Each year they find a new place that has a Christmas fair and spend ( a fortune ) a weekend there to get in the mood. Places visted include Bruge,Brussels, Vienna, London, Chester,Edinburgh,Manchester (?) and at present are researching air fares to New York.

Now I really enjoy those weekends, but they always come back.

I've done a shed load of Christmas shopping on the internet today....the old credit card has melted :D I hate going round the shops as I can never find what I want.....but sitting here makes it so easy, never even broke into a sweat :showoff:

I'm off to France and Belgium on Tuesday to stock up on the booze :cheers2: :partyman:

Did that last wednesday - as well as the wine - the Bailey's was only £9 - cheapest here was Asda at £12. We don't bother with the beer or lager - too bulky.....

The cheeses were wonderful again!
