cpu temperature!

Recommended Posts

I consider a temperature of 50 - 55 deg C CPU, 35 - 45 deg C case to be quite acceptable.

I have one machine where the CPU runs at about 60 deg C. Don't know why it does that but it's been running perfectly OK for two years like that so I don't worry too much.

Regarding HDDs, I understand that some are designed to run at temperatures of 70 deg so yours are well within specification there.

Modern CPUs will shut down at temperatures well below that at which they will self destruct so don't be too concerned at the temperatures you are getting.

Trackrat's suggestion of Quiet PC is a good one. I use them a lot.
