The good news

Got the thumbs up today. Back for a further check in 3 months. I am now allowed to run/cycle/physio and anything as long as it doesn't hurt. Breaks starting to knit at long last. I am not allowed to play tennis/badminton/squash or even try putting up things like garden fences, i.e. no impacts 'till further notice.

The really good news

In about 12 months I will have to have a further op to removed the metalwork. The attached image shows what they stuffed in. The Surgeon confirmed that the burning/discomfort under my elbow was due to the very thin bit of skin stretched over the metalwork and also why it wakes me up at night. This would remove that and should give me back a fairly straight arm - at present the jutty out bit of metal is stopping me straightening it.

My right little finger can now almost reach my right ear. Disparately looking forward to a good rake out. Left little finger not designed for the job.

Hope the attached image isn't too big or gruesome. :D
