Agent Smith Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 If we did that, who would then run the country?Perhaps some people who really care!!I just had an idea, perhaps if politicians got paid the same as nurses and teaching support staff (ie less than £20,000 a year), then following the same vocational belief, perhaps we would get politicians who really want to make a difference, rather than idiots who just see a way to make money (yes I know the salary is not huge, although it is several times what I earn in education, but they get loads of extras from external companies).Why can't somebody pay me £200,000 a year to be a director of their IT company. Tankus Posted March 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 HerdyGood God man they're lamps!Its these new health and safty laws .....our company have made an overall risk assessment , and have decided that overall , an outside contractor was the least legally liable way to go ......!Admittedly in some of our buildings the lights can be up to 60 ft of the ground . most of my strips are no more than 12 ft ......... have to laugh, though, sometimes ...!..
