Yeah, they still get baskets on Easter. :P We will be going to noon mass after that.My sisters and their families are coming over this afternoon for a family get together and an early dinner. -pops- Posted March 27, 2005 Report Share Posted March 27, 2005 We have all the family here so that's eight of us (two sons, respective partners, two granddaughters).We're having home made chicken liver pâté, steak with salad followed by fresh fruit (and cream for those who can take it) and cheese (again for those who can take it). There is wine for those who drink and juice for those who don't.Sitting round the table will be:A retired chemist (me)a retired paediatrician (partner)a psychiatrist (non-practising, he has a graphics business)(younger son).an airline pilot (partner of above)a consultant gynaecologist (elder son)a nursing sister (wife of above)and two little devils (they're not really)It's very rare for us all to be able to get together as schedules always seem to clash.Happy Easter :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

andsome Posted March 28, 2005 Report Share Posted March 28, 2005 We went to our daughters yesterday, she cooked roast beef and roast veg. This was followed by apple crumble. We always buy her and her husband to be, our son Mike, and granddaughter Zoe a choc egg. Mike missed his this year as he is at present in Laos as part of his six month holiday. We alway buy them all an egg at Easter, and a choc and sweets stocking at Christmas, even though Jackie is now 38, and Mike is 40. We had a lovely surprise during yesterdays visit. Jazmin, who is one year old, and has been walking round holding onto the furniture, or someones hand for the last few week, finally took off and took her first steps unaided, accompanied by loud applause and cheers. She was well pleased with herself and kept repeating her new trick, Getting better all the time.
