catgate
It's an interesting site, Tankus. Lots of goodies, but I could not find a prog. that would format Cds in UDF. Any suggestions?
Boris
catgate - what software do you normally use for writing CDs ?For UDF you need to use a third party program that formats a CD-RW in UDF, such as Roxio's DirectCD or Nero's InCD. This came with a CD drive. I have a suspision that it is a "cut down give away" version, because nowhere in it can I find any reference to formatting in UDF, even in the help index. Previously I used WinOnCD.
Boris
If you have been able to install InCD with your version, it needs to be running in the System Tray. If you click on the tray icon it should then give you the format option.
catgate
Thanks Boris. I have InCD in my Systray box and when I right click I do get up a dialogue box, where, amongst the items in Options, is a box labelled "MRW Format on all MRW-capable drives". ( MRW...? ) The Help feature talks of formatting, but the initials UDF do not appear anywhere. Does this mean that InCD formats ONLY in UDF? catgate
Further to the above. When I go to InCD, through clicking the CD drive icon in My Computer, The dmn fool thing still will not let me format at all. The start button remains "greyed" out.
