Lost Store Reward card

About two months ago I lost my Sainsbury's Nectar reward card. I know someone has found it because each time I look at my Nectar acount on the web it has been credited with thousands of points for purchases I have not made.

I have advised Nectar that some unauthorised crook is using my card and adding points to my account but they seem reluctant to do anything about tracing him or her.

My worries are compounded by the fact that I also lost my air miles card and I am concerned that my air miles account will be similarly credited with air miles I did not earn. Some perverse person could be flying all over the planet and crediting me with countless air miles for all I know - leaving me with the problem of having to use them up.

Has anyone any suggestions. I am at my wits end.

Just accept them with good grace.........

:)

It's true though... If you have contacted them about this, telling them your card has been used by someone who does not own the card, and they do nothing about it, then obviously they do not care. Think of it as thier way of saying sorry for your misplaced card.

I think someone has found your card, and is using it for you until it can be returned to the rightful owner.

So what's the motivation behind someone giving you credit? How are they gaining from this, and who's the anonymous loser?

I guess someone has put a bogus credit card together with your reward card and is buying up S'burys. Would you take a second look at a card backed up by someone building up rewards?

Simple con without Chip'n'pin.

Apply for some more loyalty cards - John Lewis, M&S, Harrods etc... and make sure you lose them in the same placeĀ

I thought this was a sensible suggestion at first and was all fired up to give it a go - until I remembered I don't know where I lost the cards.
