doug
Where there's muck there's brass. Depends on whether you've got the gall to try the scam.

doug
As a follow up. We have some friends from Salisbuiry with us for a few day. Today we had a spiritual day. ha d to drop Anne off for an Accupucnture session first, the we did the Laing Art Galley - very interesting, especially a black painted bronze of a full bin bag. So realistic it wasn't true. A time lapsed visual display of a decomposing rabbit also absorbed quite a bit of time. If you're in this neck of the woods this museum is worth a visit. They do seriously strange soup here. I had the Coriander and Stilton soup and a roll. After a bit of shopping , we went on to the "Old Biscuit Factory". This is almost as good a laugh as The Baltic Flour Mill. Some of the exhibits were worth a good look. Free entrance, but the price tags on all the exhibits made me cry. there was as large Chicken ~6 ft tall made of "chicken wire" dipped in zinc which was fascinating to look at - no price tag. We went to the upstairs Café for a refresher, because of the space available, I parked Anne's little electric buggy back down under one of the larger "pictures". when I went back into the Café my request for a Price ticket for £4500 to hang on the buggy so it wouldn't be out of keeping with the other exhibits caused an interesting reaction. As a comparison this was a much more interesting place to visit to visit than the Baltic Gallery - what a waste of the public moneys that was.I think this is still on topic -just.
