catgate
Before very long there is going to be a big meeting in Scotland. I think it would be a very good idea if, when the meeting had just started, we all went up to Hadrians wall and rebuilt it and made it more effective than ever. That way we could keep HIM (or even them) from coming back. "Are ye wi' me , lads?"

don't ask
I'm all for it being rebuilt to keep the southern lot away from Scotland - mind you wait until I am back up there before you start the wall though - oh and I'm a lassie, not a lad :P
catgate
You're not one of the famed Invarary Formation Porridge Jugglers are you? We were up that area touring, on our motorcycle, a couple of years ago, and no matter where we looked we could not find them. We asked around and were given many different replies. "Porridge is out of season now." "They've all gone to get their oats." "Jock Mc Dougal's bagpipes are gummed up with oat dust." etc. So we never saw them. We were, however, lucky enough to catch sight the last of the Arbroath Smokey weavers just turning the heel on his last pair before Christmas. don't ask
Afraid not .... but I do eat porridge (proper stuff, not the commercialised kind) .... wish you hadn't mentioned Arbroath Smokies ..... I'd sell my Grannie for one right now!If the Wall were rebuilt, would it be enough to keep anyone from straying from one area to the other? Scarecrow Man
I'm not quite sure what this thread is about, but building a wall between two countries (or even to divide a country) is not the answer.Unless you put Canada's Politicians inside :)

andsome
I like proper porridge as well, but not made with salty water the way the Jocks do, and stored in a dresser draw. I use Whole grain rolled oats and make it with milk and NO salt. YUMMY
catgate
I'd sell my Grannie for one right now!How much do you want for her? A quiet word in andsomes ear and you may be able to afford two smokies.
