catgate Posted June 15, 2005 Report Share Posted June 15, 2005 After reading a post here, a few days ago, I realised that, although I have my system on one drive and my "data" etc. on another, I should really have a copy of my system drive on a CD (or may be another drive). To that end I went ferreting about on the net looking for a free drive copying prog. (Well I am a true Yorkshireman.....we are a bit like the Scots, with all of the generosity removed and added parsimony to flavour). The end result was I picked up something nasty and eventually, after several hours of messing about, and reloading V.M., luckily managed to get rid of it. This reinforced my realisation quite markedly.Does such a Disc Imaging thing exist freely in the wild or is it necessary to capture one with money. Though I did find one or two, none of them offered a true backup solution, and I ended up purchasing Arconis in the end. Needless to say I am happy I did.
