Devanski
Anyone catch any of this?... I didn't see much myself and didn't think it was for me but caught Basement Jaxx set last night on the beeb... was pleasantly surprised with their set and enjoyed it... more musicians than Earth, Wind and Fire :o and a great blend of songs ...Great live performance :)
expertec
Unfortunately I missed Friday, and thus several of the best bands who I wanted to see (Zutons, Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, White Stripes).Managed to catch some on Saturday night, so I got to see Coldplay (absolutely great! B) ) and Kasabian (they were OK, but I'm not a fan of theirs).Sunday I saw The Bravery... pretty good, but I didn't see a lot of them. The BBC cut from there when the bass player decided to strip off on stage! :lol:Oh yes... I saw Garbage on Sunday too *where's all the smilies gone??*Basement Jaxx... don't like 'em really, but there's something for everyone at Glastonbury. :)I think I will be there in 2007! :DEdit: And I did have an on-site reporter too, so that was good... fortunately he was at the top of the hill and his tent survived!
Devanski
I'm classed as one of the oldies, so I haven't heard of most of them expertec apart from White Stripes (just) Coldplay and Garbage :P ..Hadn't even heard Basement Jaxx before, just got surprised that I actually enjoyed a bit of Glastonbury :D .... Naked bass playing?.... I assume it was a guy, so I'm glad I missed it :D

Boris
As a real oldie ( I can give you 10 years Devanski :D ) - I do hesitate to add my thoughts on this "modern" music - as it reveals I am really young (at heart) .................. but here goes !I really liked the part set from Razorlight - had to get "Up All Night" out and on the car CD this morning.Coldplay were excellent and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.New Order took me back to the old Joy Division days.Brandon Flowers seemed a bit restrained, (in his white jacket he reminds me of a cross between Gary Numan and Ron Mael) but the sound of the Killers still came over well.Never really been a White Stripes fan, but Jack and Meg were fascinating to see live.Unfortunately, I didn't see the brief exposure of The Bravery :D Elvis Costello + The Doves seemed to come over well.My brief flash of Keane was good.Didn't catch The Tears, but Brett and Bernard must have been good ?Babyshambles weren't very impressive ???The one song I saw by The La's was good+ Ian Browns range of jackets was interesting. The thing I will remember most is the guy surfing over the crowd while Brian Wilson was on.PS I didn't actually see/hear them, but Rilo Kiley were really excellent according to a girl from work who was there at the John Peel stage.Right ................ thats it - back off to my Ovaltine and slippers
