andsome Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 I suppose basically, it shows the futility of trying to defeat nature when it is on a take over course, and also the futility in building below sea level in coastal regions. How long before rising sea levels make it impossible to maintain the Dutch coastline? It does however come down to politicians in the end. They allow or disallow planing requests. If this kind of development is allowed, then adequate defences MUST be prepared and paid for. Cuts and this type of development DO NOT go hand in hand.
