Craig Posted September 24, 2005 Report Share Posted September 24, 2005 You may have noticed the addition of a Google ad banner at the bottom of the page, this is to help pull in some revenue for the new server.Depending what you are looking at on the forum will depend what is shown in the ad banner (currently looking at my PM inbox shows me ads for PVC Windows, so not 100% accurate at the moment).The forum gets paid per click, so if you see something of relevance, click away!CraigEdit - I have also added a Google Search box at the bottom of the page. Have they been checked out.They are safe to the point that they will not in anyway use any information that you consider to be personal.The ads displayed can be, well anything and you may well find Windows Vista up for sale on ebay :lol: If an add is considered offensive or is showing something you think to be "wrong" then contact Craig. I know that Google is an ethical company, but checking out all ads they carry may be a task impossible.A friend of mine wanted to buy a certain software package, so he looked up Google to find the best price. Craig Posted October 4, 2005 Author Report Share Posted October 4, 2005 I am trying to filter out the irrelevent ads.Nel has provided me with a comprehensive list of sites to block, which is now in action.Going on the first few days of preformance, it did seem as though we would reach a monthly target that would pretty much pay for the server each month, however this has slipped somewhat.
