We had family over till almost midnight on Christmas Eve and got up to go to 8 a.m. Mass on Christmas day. The family is all sick. Everyone was also tired on Christmas morning. We did nothing all day after opening gifts other than prepare the evening dinner of pork, dumplings and sauerkraut. Preparing for Christmas Eve and Christmas day is a lot of work. We had a lovely time but I too am glad it is over (the hard work part) till next year. The true meaning of Christmas, however, will remain in my heart. Like the rest of you we will finish the season off with a New Years Eve party with friends, then veg out on New Years Day watching football games.
