Electric knife

A friend has offered 'Er Indoors an electric knife. It looks absolutely unused, and is offered because her son is emigrating. She says to make her an offer, but we don't have a clue what it's worth. Prices seem to range from about £9 up to over £20. I have reason to believe that it was bought originally from Aldi, judging by the trade name DELTA. It is a DELTA R-911 and is 130 watts. Has anyone come across this model, and what is it worth? As I say it looks brand new and unused.

We've had an electric knife for about 20 years. Used once then put back in its box in a drawer unused, unloved.

Don't waste your money, andsome.

(If it was any good, they'd take it with them.)

We have one brought about 7 years ago from a boot sale all most new, we only paid 2 quid for it.

It gets used for carving the Sunday joint and slicing bread.

If it was bought from Aldi then i doubt it cost much more that a tenner new????

Up to you mate

Tony

Sorry to hear about that. Why not just cut the bread yourself? You eat it too..........don't you?

It's quite difficult to cut it if I am out when she fancies some bread, any ideas anyone? :D :D :D :D

We have had one for a number of years. I agree with all the replies you have had so far. However the most useful thing I have found it can do is to cut polyurethane foam and similar materials beautifully. No, I do not do a lot of polyurethane foam cutting, nor latex foam for that matter, but when I do a bit of upholstering, I have the equipment to do it.

For goodness sake!! :D

We've had the same one for about 20 years - still use it for cutting meat thinly and bread sometimes. It doesn't take up much space. Have a look in the argos catalogue and see if you can see a price there.

Heck, offer him $10 USD (5 or 6 British Pounds) and give it a try. You have nothing to lose as you and your wife may like it. If not, you can always donate it to a charity or sell it later.

All is well that ends well. When 'Er Indoors friend told her son who it was that was interested, he said, 'give it to her with my compliments, she has been a good friend to you'. So we now have an electric knife. We may have a holiday or a night on the town to celebrate? :D :D :D
