Some were indeed very funny and I would post a link here save for the fact that down each side of the page are adverts for escort and other services. I was intrigued to note that the "Ladies" were all located in the Birmingham/Solihull area and wonder how the site managed to target my home town.Is it possible that visiting a web site can provide them with your location? or is there a clever trick involved similar to danasoft.com? r4may Posted February 25, 2006 Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 It only showed my address and ISP all the other information is blocked by web content settings in NIS.Only certain sites ( such as MS and my bank) are allowed to see my browsers/OS and other relevant information. As for the OS/Browser/etc, this comes from information your browser submits in its HTTP request. This information is customizable in browsers such as Firefox and Opera, but is not available in IE (unless it requires a registry edit). Those signatures, and more information, are available at http://www.danasoft.comKeep in mind, the information that is shown there is for you.
