Seems that David Mills is either a man with a memory like a sieve who can't remember who gave him the dosh, or is telling the Italian prosecutors a variety of porkies. With neither Berlusconi or Diego Attanasio being willing to admit giving him this extremely generous gift. No matter who gave it to him, he's claimed it came from both of them at one time or another and this can only be a sign of mental incapacity or a severe lack of veracity in his statements.

One can almost feel sorry for Tessa, the guy's as slippery as an eel, but for a government minister this is still a pretty poor showing. She either truly didn't know, which shows poor judgement and a degree of naivety that should preclude her ever holding public office. Or she knew exactly what he was doing and wilfully ignored his dubious transactions, presumably as it was extremely profitable and helped fund a most salubrious lifestyle.
