Even the costs of the helpline look reasonable, though I can't understand why, when calls are free, you should be charged for a helpline.I didn't realise that it was an offer which terminated on 30 April, though. I have asked Wanadoo for a migration code and I must ask them to get a move on.Thos.
-pops-
I will allow the over-anxious to be caught out before I even consider looking at anything further than the news reports on this.I can see all sorts of problems - over subscribing being the most obvious but slightly more subtly, think of the adages "there's no such thing as a free lunch" and, as you said, doug "seem too good to be true (it probably is)".Give the dust time to settle before committing yourself. This is probably only the start as, if the idea is successful, there will be lots and lots of other ISPs offering similar (perhaps better) deals.I remember long ago that I had free Internet offered by something connected with F1 racing. It lasted about three weeks before disappearing into cyberspace and in the time it was available the service was total rubbish. I am very wary that this new thing will be the same.Besides all that, I'm having my 8Mb service from BT connected on Monday, next.
andsome
I'm letting the dust settle on the Car phone Warehouse offer before contacting NTL. At present they have under pressure reduced my 2MB BB to £16.99 and I'm getting free phone calls for three months. I won't push my luck further for a few weeks. doug
Completely forgot about that Alan - was under some pressure from you know who in doors. Just one thing to say before I close this thread in favour of the other thread and that's the offer expiry of 30th April seems to refer tp the Talk2 package not the Talk3. There's a lot of digging to do.
