That is what made me ask the question. I suppose if it had a battery pack that you carried on your back it would be no promlem, but, with the advent of SatNat technology, long distance communication is becoming less of a problem, particularly with dedicated repeaters stations. A friend had asked me to look at what was available in the cordless-walk-around- the-garden department. (He is a farmer and wanted to be able to carry one around in his pocket whilst out milking or messing about in the yard.)I saw the above and was struck by the thought that if it was a viable thing it could be useful in certain circumstances. But if it worked it would make many mobile telephone contracts redundant. The requirement to position the antenna correctly and as high as possible leaves a get out. Presumably it would have to be on the roof, and did you see the picture of the antenna?
