Before and during the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Adelman, longtime editor at the Washingtonian magazine and a frequent commentator and contributor to both print and broadcast news outlets, made some bold predictions that turned out to be wildly wrong. In February 2002, he wrote in the Washington Post: “I believe that demolishing Hussein's military power and liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk … This President Bush does not need to amass rinky-dink nations as ‘coalition partners' to convince the Washington establishment that we're right.” Shortly after the U.S. invaded Iraq and began its ill-fated search for WMD, a confident Adelman pronounced: “I have no doubt we're going to find big stores of weapons of mass destruction” (Washington Post, March 23, 2003).

You know , I grow increasingly tired of all the "President Bush" this and that negative comments.. :censored::angry:

Bush is one of the best presidents we've had in quite some while... B)

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

If he's one of the best, I would not like to see your worst.

I agree. It does get to be a bit tiring to see the same anti American stuff every day.

Heck one member on this board even went so far that he posts the anti American stuff just to irritate me. That statement went without challenge by the Admins. here.

It is a shame that that sort of attitude is condoned here. And it is the reason I post here far less often than I used to.

I wouldn't go that far. He has not addressed many issues conservatives believe in including securing our borders and pulling in the reigns on spending. ;)

I don't think that these posts are meant to be Anti American. More like Anti Dubya. You will see many more anti B'liar posts on here than pro B'liar, this does not mean that they are anti British. Over half of the American people can see Dubya for what he is, a swaggering fool. It has been claimed in another thread that the country has grown richer under this administration, sure it has for some, but many have got poorer and poorer, as has happened here with Dubya's poodle in power.

I quite liked Carter ....pity Iran hostage situation broke him ...seemed an honourable sort of bloke ....

One thing though, he didn't appear to know what you had to do with cigars. I wonder if he ever actually smoked one. :)

Sorry but that dog don't hunt anymore andsome. An old excuse that no longer works.

But carry on bashing us. It seems to be a popular thing to do on this board.

I don't quite understand your point about the dog not hurting. This forum has always lampooned politicians of all colours. Both B'liar and Dubya have asked for it many times. Now we have to see if todays democrats as for it in the same way. Certainly, in the US, Clinton has taken his fair share or lampooning in the past, and I have just made a remark about him above. This is NOT anti American. I really feel that you should lighten up and not take things so personally. In this country and the States, it appears to me that most politicians have lost just about all credibility, and are universally disliked and mistrusted. Say what you like about any British politician and I promise not to look upon it as being anti British, just anti politician.

I can agree with that..

Yes but that can be said for every single one of the other ( how many ) presidents we've had now in the U.S. .!!

And that is alway's going to happen , Your always going to have somebody somewhere somehow for some reason that has a problem with the current ( at there time ) presidential administration... Thats just the way it is...

It's called the right to protest , Freedom of speech and the right to opinion...

BUT.! To come in here like this and start up with the BASHING - Basicaly picking up where others left off dosen't show much creativity ... ( the opposite of opinion ) It just shows that you can be a sheep like the bible said you would be..

There is nothing wrong with bush.! , Just because he's pissed off the people that weren't getting pissed when Clinton was in office ( or who'm ever ) Dosen't mean he's doing something wrong , That dosen't mean he's lieing to the nation..

Besides that , who's to say that any other president was any better..?? President's rarely do what they say they're going to do..

Let's stop this crap now before it gets out of control..

I think we will have to agree to differ on this subject. There are many both here and in the States who think that there is everything wrong with Bush.

Personally I have never seen anyone who comes across as so insincere. I get the shudders every time he speaks. I repeat that for my own posts at least, there was no Anti Americanism, just anti Dubya.

No .? , Not really , Sure you're perfectly entitled to your opinion "Sure" but my question is: "What differance does it make to you , All the way over there in the UK.?" "Why don't you just worry about your own affairs and stop worrying about what's happening here.?"

I don't want to comment anymore here , It would be just like adding more coals to the steam engine..
