colrich Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 19, 2006 Thanks- looks like a download is the only way- or possibly having a much "deeper" taskbar than I want- I was hoping it could be done from Windows settings but seemingly not. Odd that Windows do not provide the means, you would think that this would be a very common need. You were the only respondent to my last question about how to change fonts in email headings- seems no-one knows the answer to that one, so maybe it's impossible- isn't that strange! Thanks again. It's default is 1. You may need to unlock the taskbar before you do this.This will display the time, day of the week (full word), and date in a xx/xx/xxxx format. cozofdeath Posted November 22, 2006 Report Share Posted November 22, 2006 Got home early so I wanted to see if there were any registry keys that could fix this so I did a search for different things and came up with a good looking key - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\. After changing the sLongDate value, I found it changed the popup time when you move your mouse over the time. Then I tried the sTimeFormat and it added a M/d/yyyy to the time. Not the actual date but "M/d/yyyy" because thats what I put for that value. I'm sure this can be done if the right variable is put in it. It measures 3" long by 1" deep and only 1/4" thick. It is fastened with blue tack to the bottom of my monitor and gives me a nice clear display.There is always a simple way to skin a cat.
