It was a free download when I purchased a camera. Unfortunately, it is no longer available as a download (I telephoned Sony yesterday).I have tried doing copy and paste onto a flash drive, then paste into Programs on my D-drive. When I press the shortcut to start, I get an error message telling me that MFC71.DLL is missing. When I googled the filename, it came up with lots of offers of a download.Is it safe to do this and if so, where should the file reside? p.s. When I tried to copy the file to a CD, a message said that I might lose information if I did that. I eventually saved, via the browse option, directly to the CD. trackrat Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 I have a folder on the desktop named installers and after installing the program I just drag and drop the installer icon into that folder.I do not bother backing them up to CD as the Acronis back up takes care of that.
