andsome Posted March 6, 2007 Report Share Posted March 6, 2007 It's nice to receive a pleasant little surprise in the post for once, instead of bills. A few years ago when work commenced on the M6 toll road, we were contacted by a company of solicitors offering to make a claim on our behalf for compensation. No fee would be due, as this would have to be met by the compensating authority. We naturally signed up for the offer as did most of our neighbours. It was a very pleasant surprise this morning, to receive a letter stating that the compensating authority had agreed to pay us all £1000, plus interest dating back to the date of the original claim. Can't be bad can it? It certainly beats being swiped in the face with a wet haddock. Virtual drinks all round in the virtual pub tonight, give Artist your orders. As I have said before, on my occasional trips oop north I use that Expressway which I regard as a real treat but which, I know, others do not.Thos.
