The latest blow to the Vista's prestige came in a new lawsuit made public this week by a woman who claimed that Microsoft's marketing campaign deliberately duped customers into buying computers that weren't even capable of running Vista's most prominent features."Microsoft engaged in bait and switch - assuring consumers they were purchasing 'Vista Capable' machines when, in fact, they could obtain only a stripped-down operating system lacking the functionality and features that Microsoft advertised as 'Vista', " the complaint said. -pops- Posted April 15, 2007 Report Share Posted April 15, 2007 It's getting more and more likely that Vista will be one operating system that I won't be installing.It used to be that I was very keen on getting the latest output from MS but, right from the start, I have misgivings about the latest effort and nothing has changed my view on this - in fact, it's been reinforced by all the negativity there is about it.Combined with the prospect of a new O/S in two years time, I don't see any point in changing my current very good setup of three XP machines.Or perhaps it's because I'm getting old. My guess is that IF the case is taken up it will be thrown out and then everyone will say that it is because Microsoft used it's muscle.Thos. Any lawyer will love to take some money from a giant company like Microsoft. Talking of "class action" to me already sounds more fraudulent than anything Microsoft has ever done.
