AlanHo
Just sold three items on Ebay.On one of the items I have had a confirmation from PayPal that payment has been received - and it appears in my account as "completed". However - the buyer has an unconfirmed address and Ebay state that I am ineligible for their Sellers Protection Policy. It is £240 I cannot afford to lose - the question therefore is - am I safe to send the goods having seen the payment appear in my account at Paypal as completed. I know it may be a dumb question - but I need to be sure.
Alan2273
I have used paypal for 7 years and have never had a problem sending goods out after Paypal have e-mailed me to say the money is in the account.Another thing you can do is check the buyers feedback, that is always a good indication if they have had problems with paying. AlanHo
AlanHave you sold to people with an unconfirmed address?
Alan2273
Yes several times, but I always check my bank statement on line and when it shows up in there, that is when I send the parcel to the recipient. Not confirming your address is really just idleness as it does not take long to do, and that is why I wait till it shows up in my bank account. catgate
It is due to a funny way they have with words.I had an unconfirmed address for ages and ages. When I questioned why, I got an aswer saying something along the lines of all addresses outside the US were unconfirmed. When I said I could confirm my address they were not particularly bothered and so I carried on regardless. I have not noticed if I am still unconfirmed or not. Not being C of E it did not bother me. I'm not Jewish either but I am still circumspect.

Irene
I have sold to unconfirmed addresses, Alan. In fact I sell quite a lot through eBay. I've been uncluttering!! :D The only advice I would offer, is to send your item via a signed for delivery with tracablility. At least then you know for certain that your goods have arrived. Also, check the amount of insurance cover which the selected service offers.
