Sureshot Posted July 19, 2003 Report Share Posted July 19, 2003 Hi all,I have a ever growing pile of free CD's and old CDs with AOL free trials or Tiscali. The majority, i am afraid to say, come from this very magazine and although I am grateful for the free utilities i find I have no real use for them once these are installed. I believe in doing our bit for the environment and hate to just discard these CD's in the trash. Can anyone make any suggestions as what can be done with the multitude of CD's that i have? Surely they can be recycled by someone, somewhere, somehow. I asked if PCA editors would like to comment on their responsibility to the environment and was asked to comment on my own responsibilities, :angry: grrr!anyone have any thoughts on this topic of old CD's though? Their plan was to get several million, and then return them all at once to AOL.Just imagine the look on their faces on a monday morning, when arriving at work to find the entrance blocked by a 40 foot stack of crap discs. :lol: :P :lol: :P Mr. M. We aren't allowed real twinkly lights and things because of health and safety....... anyway, he hangs them on the tree and they look very nice. In fact so nice that they stay there all year round!! I think manufacturers should take some responsibility for the amount of materials they churn out and have some means to take these discs back. let them clean it up!!!Nellie2, thought i could make childrens mobiles and sell them at markets, one guy on the "other site" makes clocks and sells them and gives the money to the RSPCA.I think I will phone my local council to see what can be done with these discs and if they can be taken for recycling.i shall let you guys know how i get on Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
