andsome
So dose that mean that when say the chancellor says you should have a smaller pension then he is right as he is the one with the title. What a relief no more anti government posts as that would be a bit hypocritical. What a completely irrelevant post.
Panarchy
^Well, I am anti government! TAX IS THEFT (Remember my old sig?)My brother has even written a book against government and in favour of the free market. We both think that life in general would be alot better without government. artist
Well I watched a lot of that film - skimmed some, I admit. I got the general drift and have to agree, to a point. There has always been scaremongering but I do wonder sometimes at the ulterior motive in all this. Will high tax for 4x4s really make that much difference, for example? - yes, I know this sounds faceteous! The end of that film about the african people is truly shocking. With all our technology it seems we can't get electricity for those people! I would have thought that the smoke eminating from those parts would be a big contributary factor in the 'pollution' - glory for some politition who could do something about it?All this rubbish about temperatures rising - it seems to me that summers years ago were equally as hot, in particular 1976 - was there all this talk of global warming then? It's no good getting into a slanging match on here - we are all entitled to an opinion. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
.....and this has what to do with global warming??Well, he is against government (and taxes) because he is for global warming?
deuces wild
It is much clearer now today, and things are already happening - the polar ice is melting, and the oceans are rising. The Americans think it's all a hoax, but what will they say once New York (and dozens of other coastal cities) are under water?Really? The Americans think it's all a hoax, but what will they say once New York (and dozens of other coastal cities) are under water?Really?Really! I saw it on Larry King the other night (a few weeks ago); a senator of the United States declared that global warming is a hoax. The president obviously thinks the same.I know that generalizations like "the Americans" are foolish and often offending. I did not mean that 100% of the population of the United States thinks that. But the "official" America; the government; those in charge to prevent any action on this hoax.

Well that would certainly prove, without any doubt, that American's think global warming is a hoax.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Well, apparently he did not only say it on Larry King, he also declared it on the Senate floor that global warming is the "greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people", made up by "environmental extremists and their elitist organizations". The source of his insight: "scientist" Michael Crichton. See http://inhofe.senate.gov/pressreleases/climateupdate.htm. Inhofe is not just "any" senator, but the chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
OK, OK, it's only one American who believes in the "hoax". But he has an extremely loud voice! But then there are the religionists, who say "the end is neigh", and that we should pray, rather than saving god's creation. Now where did I hear that - David Letterman...?

THis was beleived by almost the entire population. But has been proved wrong. Watch the vid, or watch it again.
