It is easy to configure, and in fact the default settings are good, and you only need to fine tune if you have the desire to do so. I have run a test of the firewall at Shield Up and received a 100% secure rating. The A.V. scans e mail both inbound and outbound for extra security to yourself and recipients of mails from you. So far, it appears to remember instructions as to program access far better than either Comodo or Zone Alarm. Another excellent feature for UK users is that help is available by e mail or better still by telephone. The call is charged at local rate, NOT PREMIUM. The helpline staff are extremely helpful. For those who already use Nod 32 A.V. they can migrate their existing password and user name and obtain a discount. A free 30 day trial is available for any doubters. As I said in my revue, it is easy to configure, and I don't get repeat warnings as I was getting in both Zone Alarm and Comodo. I'm wondering whether Eset will do it all for one sum of money .. If you download the security suite, do it to a folder, then before installing you must disable the Windows Firewall. You will also have to uninstall Nod 32 AV, as the security suite includes an AV program. No harm in having other Anti Malware programs. Absolutely wonderful: very unobtrusive, not a single infection of any sort that it didn't catch, no discernable slow-down effect, and no known conflicts with other programs. I've even worked out how to control updates so that they only occur on start up. If you can afford a computer, then you should be able to afford a few pounds/dollars/ Euros or whatever to keep it safe. The best price is for a three year subscription.
