Although I have a suggestion.We can create a new member group like "Experienced Member" (or any other name) and can allow "Edit" button to this group. But the present edit policy is a good one: one brief opportunity immediately after the post and that's it. Otherwise people could be continuously changing what they've written which would make subsequent replies look silly. You can always post a correction referring to the post number you now want to change. Grrrh You notice a small typo, pop back into yer post, make the correction, and you get that wretched Edited message. It looks awful and should be/can be turned off. For some reason, on the screen which I'm typing, I can't see these errors! So that members can know about it.Actually if a thread is a tutorial, then no one spends time to read all pages in the thread. One comes and reads the first post cause he knows the first post contains the whole tutorial. So if I post the remaining information in new post, then it'll come on 2nd or next page and in this way when a member will read the tutorial in future, he'll not be able to read that post because it'll not be on first page.I think we are discussing the issue more than required. I have tried all combinations in folder options but they stubbornly open in the same window. Because I am used to separate windows I automatically click to close one an d close them all. I recently had to have Vista reinstalled, don't know if it's significant. All updates/service packs are installed.Help please !!
