Doris Twonk was quite a girl in her time. She was the worlds finest conductor. She was renowned the length and breadth of the country for her reflexes and her embouchure, which she used to good effect when blowing eggs.

She came from humble beginnings. Her mother kept a tripe dressing emporium just South of Waterloo and another one for ladies lower down.

She reminds me very much of a clippy who used to be on the trams in Bradford during the war, when I had to cross the town to go to school......but that's another story

My granddad was a tram driver, he probably knew her. :D

I hope the your granddad did not associate with the old biddy that it was my misfortune to see regularly. in the 40's. She was a horror. A short Nora Batty with the milk of human kindness fully extracted and replaced with wasp venom. I shall write down the 'best' encounter then post it shortly.
