I'm finding it impossble to save some picture files from a folder onto a dvd.

In my pictures i have highlighted the desired photos, then selected "move selected items" and then the D. drive (cd drive), once i've clicked move a screen stating D:/ is not accessible , incorrect function, pops up..

the dvd-r is blank so does anyone know a better way? Or what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

You will probably get some expert advice shorty but what I think you are trying can only be done with a formatted read/write DVD - much like a floppy. Whether these can be played in a conventional DVD reader - I don't know. To produce a permanent DVD you need to use DVD burning software e.g. Nero. Just a few thoughts to think on. I do not think that XP has native DVD burning ability - only for CDs ????

See :-

at the bottom

Do you want to record onto blank DVD disks using a recordable DVD drive?

Windows XP can read and play back DVDs, but it can't record them.
