Panarchy
^Thanks. Not bad... :|RAM : 2 GB Kingston DDR2 533 MH $75Graphics : ASUS NVidia 7200GS 256 MB $58CPU : Intel E2140 $80RAM : 2 GB Kingston DDR2 533 MH $75Graphics : ASUS NVidia 7200GS 256 MB $58Hard Drive : Seagate Barracuda 160 GB SATA 7200 rpm $73DVD : LG GSA H42NBB $46The specs I mentioned for the seven above components, are better in the one I mentioned.'My' RAM is better, and cheaper.'Your' graphics is $14 less expensive then 'mine', but 'mine' seems to be a great deal better. My harddrive is cheaper, and better...My DVD Writer is cheaper and has lightscribe...My CPU seems to be exactly the same, though I get mine cheaper. As for the motherboard, case and PSU, I am unsure of how they compare to the ones I have listed. After reading this post, what do you think? I'd like to hear your opinion!...Panarchy
AlanHo
I am not familiar with the Australian computer suppliers - you are far better equipped to get the lowest prices.Your thread states you want a budget computer - but your choice of components - especially graphics - is not exactly budget.I see you have posted this request on at least two other forums - I am sure they will prove helpful - unless the contradictory info you are getting confuses you. Panarchy
6 other forums, actually! :DThanks for the info.I still need to do more research.I won't be buying this computer until mid-February, so I will work out all the fine points by then (with your help, hopefully).I still need to research a lot about the Graphics Card, CPU and Motherboard, so I won't be buying it till I've worked all those things out. Oh, and the case as well.Panarchy
andsome
Is this going to go on until mid February? Once again, you have asked for advice and are spending all your time arguing against it. Why not take some of the advice given and get on with it? We don't need to hear about every revised list and every box opened. Surely you can offer a list for advice, then accept the general consensus. Do you change your underwear as often as you change your mind? At least we have not seen pictures of cables and fans so far.
-pops-
Asking the same advice on seven forums can only result in you getting conflicting advice with the result that you are confused and disillusioned. It shouldn't be a source of amusement for you. This thread is already running to two pages and it's only just one day old.It is unfair on all the contributors here (including me) to waste their time answering your questions when you are getting additional answers elsewhere and, apparently, taking notice of none of them.Because of this, I am locking this thread.
