Womens Car Park

With the high rate of attacks on women in secluded car parks, especially during evening hours, the Sheffield City Council has established a 'Women Only' car park at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre.

Even the car park attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and safe environment is created for patrons.

Below is the first picture available of this world-first women-only car park in the United Kingdom .

Laugh you all may.

However, in September 2001 I took delivery of a new car. I had occasion to visit the Eyemouth Co-op car park which is designed for 240 vehicles, for the purpose of shopping. There were five cars in that car park. When I came out of the co-op there were four cars left in the car park of which two had been hit by the fifth car that was no longer there. One of the 'hit' cars was an old Mark 1 VW Golf, someone's pride and joy as it had a wooden steering wheel and alloy wheels and was polished to hell, it was also a bloody right-off as well. The second car which had been hit, with only sixty-seven miles on the clock was mine. £ 370 worth of damage to the rear nearside bumper and wing.

Luckily there was a police CCTV in the corner of the car park which had taped the culprit in the fifth car and got to work before we had a chance to phone them. They stopped a forty-five year old women in a Daimler and charged her with having an accident and failing to stop, no driving licence, and being one and a half times over the legal drinking limit.

She was banned from driving for ten years as it was her third drink driving charge in eight years and was ordered to pay full restitution and court costs. :D

Carparks are the bane of our life! We've had our car bashed four times in the last four years, all in carparks - it was new then - the most recent was a few weeks back - some idiot reversed his van into the back of our car. It needed a new bumper and light unit. Luckily he was an honest chap and owned up to it.

It's not like it's a colour you can't see - light metallic turquoise..........

My little old fiat is still like new, bodily, can't vouch for the rest of it. Always fails the MOT on tyres or something equally as expensive. Of course the reason it's so good is the callabre of the driver........

A truly sad story.

It was bad enough for me andsome, I had only had the car one and a half weeks. The other fella who owned the VW had had it for eighteen years and it ended up an Insurance right-off. The women (Idiot) that was driving the Daimler must have reversed at a hell of a rate of knots to have stove the VW's back end in to the point of being unrepairable.
