This article rang my bell - and is expressed so well.

How long will it be before the PC brigade complain that the new coins no longer have the denomination as a number - but expressed in English text. How on earth are non-english speaking immigrants going to be able to spend their government hand-outs....Its a real bummer.....

Maybe it has something to do with the long term game plan to switch over to the euro, and this way the change will not be as obvious (despite the devaluation, which may not be totally accidental). The euro coins may look more traditional to the British eye and more familiar to johnny foreigner.

Why can't they leave things alone?

All conjurers know that they can fool pretty nearly everyone if they can draw the attention of the onlooker to something other then what the onlooker should really be watching in order to find out what is truely happening.

Problem with Blears and her ilk is that they seem to believe that the Publics' opinion is defined by them and can be set by some new policy document. Unfortunately it's far less susceptible to state manipulation and her finger appears more in her ears blocking sounds of dissent than on the pulse.

Her impersonation of a spoilt child in a playground " Naaah naaah naah can't hear you naaaah na dum dum de dum" is absolutely impeccable and worthy of a place on Britain's got talent.

I often wonder who is winding her up :D

Please don't mention 'Britain's Got Talent' Although it produced Paul Potts, it makes me cringe and I only watch the finals. :0

A young woman who was called Hazel Blears

Started mixing with MPs and qu**rs

Her mouth wouldn't shut

She put in it her foot

Now she's in it right up to her ears.

Very good! :D

I must have a go:

An MP who's called Hazel Blears

Has nothing between her ears

Except a fixed stare

And a penchant to share

Her ideas with anyone near

Well done both.
