Hb_Kai Posted June 20, 2008 Report Share Posted June 20, 2008 I know this is a computer - based forum, but this is kinda desperate! :(With the summer coming ever closer to it's peak in temperatures and late-nights looking like morning still, the pollen comes out to cause ever-lasting struggle of suffering to those hayfever sufferers.... Like me. I have tried putting my face in a basin of cold water to wash away the pollens, showering 2 times a day. putting vaseline at the bottom of my nose to stop pollen getting up, refrigerated spoon layed over the eyes to ease the stinging/aching (source : Y! Questions (what aload of ****)), sleeping with my cover over my face / door + windows shut, staying away from smoke (kinda hard for a smoker), keeping the doors open during the day (kinda hard 'cause my Mum doesn't like it) , Benadryl (it says once a day, and if you take two, my GOD don't they kick you up the backside!), nasal spray, olbas inhaler (for stuffy noses), changing t-shirts/jumpers after returning home from being out, not rubbing my nose/eyes, even putting toilet tissue up my nose doesn't work!!Does anyone know any more good hints/tips on how i can avoid it until i go home and get to my GP for some anti-histamine (which sounds potentially entertaining)And i've just noticed : The Lounge is the place for non-computer related topics. When I lived in Europe I had developed quite a severe pollen allergy. After moving to Japan - nada!
