What's it all about? Surely it's not on sale some where?

At the risk of starting World War 3 I am going to say that they do have some odd quirks about food and drink, and the names of things, in the Far East, but this one seems very far out, even for just a quaint name.

I'm not sure where it's from. A friend of mine saw it in a magazine and thought it was funny. 'What some people will drink when they are desperate' he said to me.

If I find out where it's from I'll let you know. :D

Japan has long been a country with strange product names, at least for non-Japanese ears.

Calpis (that sounds like cow-piss) and Pocari Sweat are established sports drinks that have been around for a very long time, but are rarely ever touched by foreigners (we wonder why  ).

I think PET SWEAT is now the pet version of the popular Pocari Sweat.
