AlanHo
I see that the Our own pub at last thread I started just over 2 years ago has attracted 632 posts and just short of 10,000 visitors. This must put it fairly high in the Windows Forum premier league table. It's amazing how we are all attracted to pubs.

AlanHo
Have a nice christmas Alan.Time to sell the old pub - or at least get it updated ..........Thank you Artist - I will.It is now 4 years since my wife died and I have a new lady in my life. Like me, she is a geriatric teenage pensioner, lived abroad for a dozen years, lost her spouse to lung cancer and returned to the UK 2 years ago. We met - if that is the right word - on an internet forum a year ago. We soon discovered we only lived 4 miles apart so started to see each other. I am totally smitten and we are to get married early next year. I am using up my stock of wife jokes whilst the going is good. WE are off to Spain for a break and to meet up with some of the friends she made whilst living there - it is sure to be fun.

Irene
Congratulations Alan. I am very happy for you both. As you may recall, I married again last year ( to my first husband). I consider myself very fortunate to have found firm ground again so late in life. :D
