Hb_Kai Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 I can't remember the site where I first saw this but apparently now it's becoming illegal to "advertise"/show a product in a personal video or picture via the internet.e.g. You take a family photo and put it on your family website of your family standing infront of your family fireplace in your family home. You've accidentally left a Coca-Cola bottle standing on a surface of the mantel piece beside your head with the product label facing the camera.Or, you're enjoying a day out at the beach and your friend or family member decides to take a picture of you munching on a Mars bar, with a hideous face which your friend/family member finds a little amusing so he/she decides to put it on their web site's photo archive.(I'm not sure if this also applies for social-networking sites (i.e. Bebo, Myspace, Facebook, etc, but it might do.)You're going to get fined for that if Coca-Cola or Mars find out... It is most unlikely therefore that they would complain about their products being visible in amateur photographs. After the pictures are developed I see that the "Hotel Del Mar" sign post is clearly visible in the photo.
