The only change we see is the drastic dump of the stock market resulting in folks losing their life savings while approving some 2 trillion dollars (equal to spending 2 million dollars/day since the birth of Jesus). The stimulus package he approves includes billions of special interest pork. Yet he approved it yet said he would eliminate pork. Auto makers and banks are going under despite the the massive spending and markets are tanking to record lows.He is big government. He is an empty suit over his head. I think it will take him and other Countries as long as it takes. It may be a year it could be two or it could be longer. I don't think it's fair to put a time scale on it. The world will pull out when it's all put right, which will be a joint effort. In the meantime everyone will suffer.I, like others, have got a lot of cash tied-up in Banks. I have spent this afternoon looking around the net looking to see which Bank is giving the best interest. It may be a year it could be two or it could be longer..............Bush was blamed for 9-11, and its' consequences some 8 months into his tenure.You now propose a different standard for Obama by giving him 1 to 2 years? Our deficit almost doubled and the Dow dropped almost 20% during his almost 2 month tenure.This is happening on his watch. Don't change the standards.History will prove him to be not only a 1 term President but the most incompetent (although he looked amongst the best in a suit). andsome Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2009 At least Obama is trying to sort out the mess. El Gordo is making no real attempt, he is pussy footing around. Much as we dislike it, the banks have to be saved, but the bonuses should NOT have been allowed to continue. The governments should have taken complete control and stopped all these payouts. Thatcher inherited a similar mess but on a smaller scale from Labour when she first came to power.
