Gordon Posted March 2, 2009 Report Share Posted March 2, 2009 Hi,I am having this issue on XP. I accidently set in WORD to print 40 pages by pressing quick print and now it just wont stop. I tried to remove the task from the printer, unplug the printer, reinstall the printer, reboot system and nothing helped. If I insert paper it still prints the 40 pages even if I try to print something else. I hope i wont have to print those pages to get rid of it. Any ideas please? Well anyway, for now I suppose you can only use one page at a time... Is there a Print Preview or Page Setup option in the File Menu? Gordon Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2009 I came to the computer now and it seems all right. After about 3 hoursI am guessing that windows has some limit time in which the printer can be idle before the request is erased internally. Or the system just needed more time to delete the request. rong Posted March 2, 2009 Report Share Posted March 2, 2009 there should be little printer down the bottom right hand side of your screen when it is printing, this has the option to stop and cancel the printing, but I have found that it takes ages to clear the print with my HP printers, and it is best to stop it first. As I said I cleared the list of printing requests, unplugged the printer, reinstalled the printer and rebooted several times.
