Vista Speech Recognition Issues

I'm having a particularly annoying problem with Vista's Speech Recognition.

The rest of the functions seem to work quite well. However, the software does not seem to recognize when I say "six". It recognizes it as "space". Also, often recognizes "two" as "L".

I do not have an accent and I am using the computer in a quiet room.

I'm using the computer's built-in microphone.

What do I need to do?

I think this may be your problem, you need a good microphone that cuts out any background noise

I agrre - a good microphone is essential. Needn't be very expensive - anything is better than built-in computer mikes- those things are akin to making a feature film with a webcam.
