Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

You would really have to be a supreme optimist to believe that this will make the slightest difference. For that reason I will not bother.

If enough people bother it may just convince a few of his colleagues to act. It would not take up much of your time. Thew more the merrier in cases like this.

Too much personal detail required to register the protest. I wouldn't trust them (or any other political party) with the parings from my fingernails, never mind my postal and email address on the same page.

I thought about that, pops, but in one form or another they have access to it all already.

It is my suspicion that Phorm had covert backing from our lovely lads, as a trial for bigger and better than they are doing at present.

I'm sure they already do have the access I fear but it would require more bean counting civil servants to collate, as it's not handed to them on the same piece of cyber paper as it is on this petition.

On the news last night I saw that he had backed down over his proposals for M.P's expenses. He just cannot do anything right. I never thought that I would say this, but I firmly believe that we have found an even bigger pillock than B'liar.

It's not so much that he backed down but more to do with the fact that Nick Clegg and David Cameron wouldn't support his proposal.

The reason being that no accountabilty or receipts would be needed meaning that Joe Public would be even more disillusioned with MP's expenses!

Gordon Brown's plan to replace it with a flat-rate daily allowance failed to win support from the Tories, Lib Dems and many backbench Labour MPs.

The Tories and Lib Dems have argued that an attendance allowance which does not require receipts is less transparent than the current system.

I never thought that I would say this, but I firmly believe that we have found an even bigger pillock than B'liar.

I think you are right
