AlanHo
We hired an Opel Corsa during our Madeira holiday - which was fine with one significant exception.Reflections of the dashboard in the windscreen were more of an irritant - they bordered on dangerous. The surface of the dashboard was dark grey slightly shiny mottled plastic which reflected in strong sunny conditions as an overall "cast" on the screen making it look like you were peering through a slight mist. This was made worse by some fancy silver trim on the top of the dash which reflected badly in the screen. It spoiled what was otherwise quite a nice small car. catgate
Interesting. I have the same problem with our car. I have a bit of black wollen knitted fabric resting on the top of the dash directly in front of the driver, prevented from slipping by a piece of high friction rubber strip. It does not trouble Management, and so I put it down to the height of ther eyes altering the reflection angle.
