A Problem with FireFox

Recommended Posts

I recently did a format and re-install of XP SP3 and have got a couple of irritating problems.

1) I always use Firefox (3.5.4 fully updated) with 5 tabs open for favourite sites. With a couple of these sites WF, in particular, on refrshing a page it never quite fully loads. The page seems to fully displayed but the loading bar takes ages to complete. I've also noted with taskmanager that FF is always very active 20-50% and i find lots of errors in the error console.

2) I also run Ccleaner (v2.24.1010) most nights and then find that I have to re-login on many of these sites in spite of ticking the boxes to remember me.

Any help ere folks?

No, the only option I seem to have are to either delete or not for the Browser, i.e. FF and/or IE in my case. Have just told it not to delete the FF Caches. Have just found a slightly leter version of Ccleaner- 225.1025. Will report back.

I run Firefox 3.5.4 as well as CCleaner - both are excellent programs. Haven't had any bother except on some sites do notice it is loading on FF on tab a lot longer. Why - who knows?

Anyone tell me if clicking on advanced - old prefetched data is not a good idea?

:D

Now how do I get those cookies into the options page?

Only the cookies that actually exist will make it into the Options page. Once they have been deleted, they will not be there.

Visit the site(s) of which you want to keep the cookies, login, then close Firefox and open CCleaner. Now you can move the cookies-to-keep to the right side.

I have many, many dozens of cookies in there.
