AlanHo
I once thought I had a handle on the meaning of the word "service". "The act of doing things for other people." Then I heard the terms such as "Police Service," "Postal Service," "Civil Service," Legal Service," "Car Service," "Motorway Service Station." etc and I became confused about the word "service." This is not what I thought "service" meant. One day, I overheard two farmers talking and one of them mentioned that he was having a bull "service" a few of his cows. It all came into perspective. AlanHo
At least you two have rendered a service by reminding me of the correct date. When i got up this morning I thought it was Sunday - it's a problem when you are retired and every day is like a week-end isn't it old fellas and gals? doug
Yeah, it gets most confusing. No paid Bank Holidays or paid leave and definitely no paid sick leave.

I have already let you know what my memory is like (or have I.................?).Regarding holidays - I am now regretting choosing to be an atheist rather than Christian or Muslim. Us lot don't get nearly as many holidays.
