Snuffhit
Hey guys,I will be upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista premium 64-bit. I have only one question. Do I need to repurchase a copy of Microsoft Office for my new operating system or can I use the version associated with my old operating system? I'm fairly sure that when you install Microsoft Office, the cd-key is linked to your operating system and can only be used with said operating system. Thanks in advance. Boris
AFAIK you can install your old version of Office on your new system. AlanHo
I am using Office 2007 on my Win7 computer which previously ran Vista with no problem. I do not believe that Office is tied to a particular OS installation - unless it was a Dell OEM installation in which case there may be a problem. This is speculative guesswork however. rong
I have office 97 running on W7 32 bit, everything opens and I can write letters so the later versions should have no problems and unless you need all the latest bits it's allot cheaper to keep the older version. It also works on XP and Vista.
Irene
My Office Enterprise 2007 has installed and is running perfectly happily on my new PC - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (Full version - Retail). :) Today I copied all of my Office files from my 'old' PC onto an external hard drive. A short while ago, I copied all of the WORD files onto my new PC. No probs... ;)
andsome
Office 2000 runs fine on my computer except for on annoying thing. When writing a letter I cannot import the address from Outlook, onto an envelope. This is a minor problem, and I have solved it with a few minutes work typing a list of address in a folder and copying and pasting from there. :D

As I say though, it is not a problem. I won't say where or how I obtained it.
