It has fixed back and arm cushions but the seat cushions are loose and can be turned over to even the wear.I tend to slump in the chair when getting really comfortable and the result is that the seat cushion slowly slides forward. Each evening my wife - who is far more organised than me - went round the lounge shoving back all the seat cushions that had been displaced - in addition to plumping up (as women do) all the loose scatter cushions I had squashed into oblivion.She has found a solution.We were in a carpet shop and she spotted a roll of material designed to be placed under floor mats & rugs to stop them from slipping on the floor. It is like a net, with 1" squares, made of plastic and coated with some semi sticky material. We bought some, cut it to size and placed a piece under each seat cushion. It has worked like magic and the cushions no longer slide forwards - but can easily be removed by lifting them vertically, if required.If you have chairs with "sliding" loose seat cushions - I can recommend this cure. I always assumed that design work was basically a means of reducing costs, and any other effect was purely accidental and irrelevant.Of course this may be a new addition to this function, the building in of features causing the buyer to replace his furniture in next years pre-Christmas DFS sales push.
