AlanHo
I don't really understand what it means. Is it that Google could stop people with a chinese IP address from accessing the Google websites?
-pops-
Perhaps this explains it better http://uk.news.yahoo.com/22/20100113/tts-uk-google-china-ca02f96.html
Seshomaru Samma
What it means is that google will discontinue www.google.cn (and www.g.cn) This includes a google maps service in Chinese and a special image search fashioned after the baidu.com image search model. There are also some google apps for the Chinese market like a Chinese input system that might be discontinued. They will close their offices in China and will have to discontinue all their advertisement deals there.
catgate
I do hope it does not stem the flow of Crispy aromatic Peking duck (with rice).
Dencandy
http://news.bbc.co.u...ess/8455712.stmWill this stem the flow of junk? No, but they might have to use an outboard engine instead of trying to make do with just a sail. Linuxnall
I don't think this is good thing at all as I know some very promising websites all making money through GoogleAdSense which displays ads in both English and Cantonese as does the site itself. Besides Google will lose some serious profits as China has the largest population in the world with around 1.1billion people living there.Sandy
