For the past two weeks or more I have been getting these Spam's in twice or more daily.

I've just cut and pasted the last few lines of the main body of text in because I didn't want to bore any reader too much. The screen on my iMac is 20 inch and this sort of stuff is plastered from top to bottom and side to side.

I think the last line says it all. Whomever it is coming from is just phising for e-mail addresses I think, because if I was to click on the unsubscribe it would probably ask me for my name and e-mail address etc,.

Makes a difference from all the lottery winnings I get notified about.

Anyone else been getting these things. :D

You need to delete your earlier post on this subject which duplicates some of this info (and is now SPAM....... :lol: )

Like you - I sometimes get similar gibberish messages and agree that they are possibly trying to get me to verify my Email address simply by clicking on the link.

It's a pesky nuisance - and despite how effective your spam filters are - some seem to get through.

On the 13th September 2003 the government passsed a law about spam.

The UK has made spam a criminal offence to try to stop the flood of unsolicited messages.

Under the new law, spammers could be fined £5,000 in a magistrates court or an unlimited penalty from a jury.

But they would not be sent to jail, according to the new measures introduced by Communications Minister Stephen Timms.

Spam has become the bane of internet users, with junk messages making up more than half of all e-mails sent.

However - no-one has yet been nicked and the flood continues.

It had been posted in the Lounge. When I deleted it, thinking it was a duplicate and no one would ever need it or refer to it I sent it to a horrible place called the Trash Can. Then Alan mentioned it and you denied it. So I went rummaging in the Trash Can (amoung all the horrible,evil, nasty stuff that's in there reopened it and unfortunately sent it to the Joke Board insted of the Lounge. As I threatened I then trashed it again immedeately after you admitted that you had created it. If you really want it I could go back into that evil dungeon and this time send it to the Lounge but only if you beg and plead. :lol:

It had been posted in the Lounge. When I deleted it, thinking it was a duplicate and no one would ever need it or refer to it I sent it to a horrible place called the Trash Can. Then Alan mentioned it and you denied it. Very good of you to offer Doug. Under the circumstances now that it is cleared up I don't think you should put your life in peril by going into that trash can again.
